While I massively enjoy spending time with my VR kit, I like to spend my free time in lots of other ways. Chiefly, I like to play games on PC and console, mostly by myself but often with friends. I keep several instruments up as a hobby, and during my master's degree I also completed and passed a module in stage 1 Japanese - a way to broaden my cultural horizons and open new paths for myself. I read a fair bit of manga and have a small collection of my favorites, but also dive for hours on end into a wikipedia chain when something catches my eye.
As may be ascertained, I have a keen interest in video games. While this stemmed from playing them growing up, I am growing into a deeper understanding of the medium; the types of personal experiences one can gain from playing them, and how they can affect the individual. In particular, I enjoy Hideo Kojima’s take on how games are a part of the progression of us as a species, and the development and evolution of “Homo Ludens”.
Although I'm not a massive fan of loud spaces, I keep up my social life, and I enjoy going out with my friends for a drink or some food every now and then.
